The Office of Congressman Ted Lieu (CA-36) thought that the Iranian American Community Group, Orange County would like to know that Congressman Lieu is an original cosponsor of the reintroduction of H. Res. 118, “Condemning Iranian state-sponsored terrorism and expressing support for the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic of Iran.” The Congressman has also previously released a statement in solidarity with protestors in Iran, in which he called upon the Iranian government to “halt these human rights violations and immediately release all political prisoners and unlawfully detained individuals.”
Congressman Lieu was an original cosponsor of the bill during the 117th Congress. The bill is now being reintroduced in the 118th Congress.
